Reference Architecture

Systems Architecture is a method for describing how all the systems, sub-systems and components in a complex collection of systems function coherently to deliver a defined result according to requirements. Systems architecture is particularly important in highly interdependent, complex systems where multiple companies participate jointly.

The agreement on a construct of drilling systems automation in a field development view will benefit descriptions, communications and commonality of purpose.

The oil and gas industry will benefit from adopting a a common architect that defines high level relationships across the multiple systems supporting drilling.
